To have a good oral hygiene it is important:

  • Brush your teeth after every meal with a soft toothbrush and fluoride toothpaste.
  • Use dental floss or interdental brushes to clean hard-to-reach areas between teeth.
  • Using mouthwash to help reduce bacterial plaque and tartar
  • Avoiding foods and beverages that can stain teeth, such as tobacco, coffee and red wine
  • Have regular checkups and dental cleanings with your dentist.

If you are undergoing orthodontic treatment, it is important to follow your orthodontist’s instructions and clean your braces carefully to avoid plaque and decay buildup.
